James Earl Jones retires from the role at age 90.

James Earl Jones is retiring after a long career but still wants Darth Vade to live on. Variety reports that Earl Jones has signed over the rights to his voice. The new owners of the iconic voice are LucasFilm and Respeecher. As seen in Obi-Wan, Darth Vader’s voice was done via new AI technology.
