James Cameron Movies Arriving In 4K UHD Special Editions

Six iconic James Cameron films are being re-released in 4K UHD.

A cinematic extravaganza awaits fans as James Cameron’s six blockbuster films, including classics like Aliens, The Abyss, and True Lies, debut in stunning 4K UHD. Moreover, special collector editions for Titanic, Avatar, and Avatar: The Way of Water promise an immersive home entertainment experience with Dolby Atmos audio, dazzling Dolby Vision HDR picture quality, and hours of compelling new bonus features.

The cinematic maestro, Cameron, who boasts three of the top five highest-grossing movies, expressed his excitement, stating, “There’s a world of emotions in revisiting these films, and I hope we’ve captured some of that in the new bonus materials we created for our fans.” Oscar®-winning producer Jon Landau echoed the sentiment, emphasizing their commitment to delivering the best possible at-home experience. The six releases will feature a 4K transfer presented in superb Dolby Vision HDR and an immersive Atmos audio mix. Most notably, the collector editions for Titanic, Avatar, and Avatar: The Way of Water will have exciting new bonus features. They range from never-before-seen deleted scenes to behind-the-scenes glimpses into the making of these cinematic marvels.

March 12, 2024:

  • True Lies 4K Collector’s Edition

The titles will be available for pre-order starting November 20. Also, on December 6, 2023, 20th Century Studios will treat fans to a one-night-only event featuring James Cameron’s “The Abyss: Special Edition” in theaters. Remastered in stunning 4K, this underwater sci-fi adventure promises a thrilling experience for loyal fans and new audiences.
