Interview With The Vampire to become a series for AMC+.

Photos were revealed from the upcoming AMC+ series Interview With The Vampire. It is based on the book by Anne Rice, who passed away last year at the age of 80. She had complications resulting from a stroke. Interview With The Vampire was first adapted into a feature film in 1994. It starred Tom Cruise, Brad Pitt, Antonio Banderas, Christian Slater, and Kirsten Dunst. The movie became a box-office success and created a fandom around the book that debuted in 1976.

The new series is coming to AMC and AMC+ later this year. Game of Thrones’ Jacob Anderson will play Louis de Pointe du Lac, and Sam Reid will play Lestat de Lioncourt. The series’ executive producer is Mark Johnson. He is known for Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul.
“We are hoping that this series compels the Anne Rice fan to rediscover her works. We are also hoping that those viewers who have never read an Anne Rice novel go running to the bookstore eager to understand what all the fuss is about.”
