Disney and Pixar’s much-anticipated sequel, “Inside Out 2,” will hit theaters in June 2024. It promises a rollercoaster of feelings by introducing a new character—Anxiety. The sequel builds on the success of the first “Inside Out” movie. The 2015 film captivated audiences worldwide and became a box office hit. Its sequel ventures back into the mind of Riley, now a newly minted-teenager. However, things take an unexpected turn. Director Kelsey Mann reveals that Anxiety is voiced by the talented Maya Hawk, which is set to shake things up within Riley’s mind. “Anxiety might be new to the crew, but she’s not the type to take a back seat,” says Mann. “That makes a lot of sense if you think about what goes on inside all our minds.” The star-studded voice cast includes familiar favorites reprising their roles, with Amy Poehler as Joy, Phyllis Smith as Sadness, Lewis Black as Anger, Tony Hale as Fear, and Liza Lapira as Disgust. Together, they navigate the complexities of the mind, now faced with the unexpected arrival of Anxiety.
The film promises to deliver a mix of emotions, humor, and heartwarming moments as Riley’s emotions grapple with the new addition to their team.
