D23 Expo gave a peek of the 2024 slate featuring Lion King prequel, Snow White, and Inside Out 2.
Amy Poehler is back to star in Inside Out 2. It is the direct sequel to the 2015 movie and will introduce new emotions. Kelsey Mann will direct it. Disney and Pixar’s Inside Out 2 releases in the Summer of 2024. Mufasa: The Lion King is coming in 2024. Barry Jenkins will direct the prequel. He is best known for writing and directing Moonlight, starring Mahershala Ali. The 2019 live-action adaptation was almost a frame-by-frame copy of the 1994 animated film. This new film will tell the story of how Simba’s father rose from humble beginnings to become the ruler of all the pride lands. Disney’s Snow White is the latest animated classic to get the live-action treatment. It stars Rachel Zegler as Snow White and Gal Gadot as the evil queen. It will be released in 2024.
