Idris Elba returns as Luther for a Netflix film.
The Luther series starring Idris Elba is getting a feature film on Netflix. Titled The Fallen Sun, it is an epic continuation of the award-winning television saga. The film also stars Cynthia Erivo, Andy Serkis, and Dermot Crowley, who returns as Martin Schenk. It will debut on the streaming platform in March 2023.
Synopsis
A gruesome serial killer terrorizes London while brilliant but disgraced detective John Luther (Idris Elba) sits behind bars. Haunted by his failure to capture the cyber psychopath who now taunts him, he decides to break out of prison to finish the job by any means necessary.
