History of the World, Part II is a series streaming on Hulu.

Who would have thought we would get another History of the World forty-two years later? A sequel to the seminal Mel Brooks film is coming and will be a Hulu series. Titled History of the World, Part II will consist of eight episodes featuring a variety of sketches that take us through different periods of human history. Mel Brooks does return where he hands over the key to Wanda Sykes, Nick Kroll, and Ike Barinholtz.
Part II tackles much more than Part I and features an incredible comedic cast. The sketches are short in each of the 30-minute episodes. So if there is one you don’t vibe with, wait for the next one. Despite some hits and misses, the series is entertaining and has catchy tunes. In the eighth episode of season 1, you will visit the Berlin Wall coming down, Christianity getting a makeover, Middle East peace, The Civil War ending, how the Pyramids were built, and much more. The series is so fun to watch. I was shocked by how raunchy the jokes get and the big names appearing in each episode. I chatted with the show’s director Alice Mathias and the Showrunner/Executive Producer/Writer, David Stassen.
Verdict
I give History of the World Part II 4 out of 5 stars. Despite being an unnecessary sequel that no one saw coming, it is filled with brilliant skits and big laughs from the most surprising cameos. Read more Reviews on Nerdtropolis and Subscribe to our YouTube.
