Good Burger Celebrates Its 25th Anniversary

Good Burger came out 25 years ago today, on July 25th, 1997. It starred Kel Mitchell and Kenan Thompson. This inseparable comedic duo was part of All That in the 90s and would go on to get their very own show, Kenan & Kel. Good Burger first started as a skit on the SNL-Esque All That before landing as a feature film. It would gross $23.7 million and have a budget of $8.5 million. The film’s impressive supporting cast featured Sinbad, Abe Vigoda, Shar Jackson, and Carmen Electra. There were also cameos from Shaquille O’Neal and George Clinton. All That’s Josh Server is also in the film.

Synopsis

Two dim-witted teenage boys, are forced to save the fast-food restaurant they work at from going out of business, despite a new-and-improved burger joint opening across the street that want to be the “Top Dog” in the fast food industry.
