Apple TV+ will be the home for this Monsterverse series featuring Godzilla and more.
Apple TV+ has revealed the first glimpse into the highly anticipated live-action original series, “Monarch: Legacy of Monsters” featuring Godzilla. The series set in Legendary’s Monsterverse boasts an impressive cast. It features the father and son duo, including Kurt Russell and Wyatt Russell. They play the same characters at different times of their lives. Also in the series are Anna Sawai, Kiersey Clemons, Ren Watabe, Mari Yamamoto, Anders Holm, Joe Tippett, and Elisa Lasowski. There is no release date as of today.
The story unfolds after the colossal clash between Godzilla and the Titans. The battle left San Francisco in ruins and exposed the existence of real monsters. “Monarch: Legacy of Monsters” follows the journey of two siblings as they follow in their father’s footsteps to unravel their family’s ties to the enigmatic organization Monarch. The series spans three generations. It weaves together tales from the 1950s and fifty years later, as the siblings delve into the shadowy world of monsters and uncover secrets that threaten the very foundation of Monarch.
The series promises to captivate audiences with its intergenerational saga. As part of Legendary Entertainment’s Monsterverse, which includes box office hits like “Godzilla,” “Kong: Skull Island,” “Godzilla: King of the Monsters,” and “Godzilla vs. Kong,” “Monarch: Legacy of Monsters” is set to join the ranks of monumental storytelling that has amassed nearly two billion dollars globally.
