Ghostbusters Animated Feature Film Announced

Jason Reitman announces Ghostbusters animated film and more during Ecto-Fest appearance.

During tonight’s Ecto-Fest on Ghostbusters Day, Jason Reitman took to the stage to announce some exciting projects. First, he announced that there would be a canon comic book series with Dark Horse comics. Reitman also touched on the Netflix animated series that was mentioned earlier today. He also shared that they are currently writing the sequel to Afterlife, which will take place in Manhattan, and the working title is Firehouse. Finally, to the announced animated feature film from Sony Pictures Animation. It will have all new characters and a whole new take on the franchise. The creative team behind this upcoming film are directors Jennifer Kluska, who is known for Hotel Transylvania: Transformania, and Chris Prynoski from Beavis and Butt-Head Do the Universe. Reitman said, “the animated film will allow us to go deeper into places that Dan Aykroyd talked about.” This film will be unrelated to previous Ghostbuster films.
