Kelsey Grammer returning for a new Frasier series.

Paramount+ has greenlit the revival of Frasier. Kelsey Grammer will return as the psychiatrist-turned-radio host. The original series, which debuted in 1993, lasted 11 seasons. It is one of the most acclaimed comedies in modern television history. Grammer played the role of Dr. Crane in three different television series such as “Cheers,” “Wings,” and “Frasier.” This ties the record for longest-running television character. The new series is focused on his next chapter in a different city. New characters will surround him, and there are hopes that previous series regulars will make guest appearances.
“Having spent over 20 years of my creative life on the Paramount lot, both producing shows and performing in several, I’d like to congratulate Paramount+ on its entry into the streaming world. I gleefully anticipate sharing the next chapter in the continuing journey of Dr. Frasier Crane.”
