Flight Of The Navigator Reboot To Be Directed By Bryce Dallas Howard

Flight of the Navigator reboot coming to Disney+.

Walt Disney Studios is set to reboot the 1986 s sci-fi classic Flight of the Navigator for Disney+. Bryce Dallas Howard will direct this updated version for Disney. The original had a budget of $9 Million and grossed $18.5 Million. Back in 2009, there were rumblings that Disney had plans to move forward with a remake. However, after having the script re-written a few times, it seems the project is back in development.

The film is about a 12-year-old named David who lives with his family in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. When he awakens from being accidentally knocked out, he finds that eight years have passed. His family is delighted to have him back but just as perplexed as he is by the fact that he hasn’t aged. So when a NASA scientist discovers a UFO nearby, David gets the chance to unravel the mystery and recover the life he lost.
