Dune Sequel Adds Christopher Walken

The sequel to Denis Villeneuve’s Dune has added Christopher Walken. He will play Emperor Shaddam IV in Dune: Part Two. Dune is an adaptation of Frank Herbert’s seminal science-fiction novel. The sequel will soon begin production with Timothée Chalamet, Zendaya, Rebecca Ferguson, and Javier Bardem returning. Walken will be joined by other newcomers such as Florence Pugh and Austin Butler. It will hit theaters on October 20, 2023. Dune was our 2021 pick for Sci-Fi of the Year Award. Read our review of the 2021 film.

Synopsis

Paul Atreides is a brilliant and gifted young man, born into a great destiny beyond his understanding. He must travel to the most dangerous planet in the universe to ensure the future of his family and his people. As malevolent forces explode into conflict over the planet’s exclusive supply of the most precious resource in existence, only those who can conquer their own fear will survive.
