Biggest announcements made during Disney Investor Day.

Disney Investor Day has revealed that over the next few years there will be roughly 10 Marvel series, 10 Star Wars series, 15 Disney live action, Disney Animation, and Pixar series. Also 15 all-new Disney live action, Disney Animation, and Pixar features will be released directly on Disney+.
Raya and the Last Dragon is coming to theaters and on Disney+ with Premier Access on March 5, 2021.

In the U.S. Hulu will launch exclusive original films produced by 20th Century Studios and Searchlight.

Starting early next year, ESPN+ and all of its programming will become available for viewing directly within the Hulu interface. Users can sign up or enjoy existing ESPN+ subscriptions without ever having to leave the Hulu app.

Only Murders in the Building reunites two comedy icons Steve Martin and Martin Short, who will be joined by Selena Gomez.

Alien is currently in development at FX as the first TV series based on the classic film series set not too far in the future here on Earth.


John Favreau and Dave Filoni are currently developing two Star Wars spinoffs, Rangers of the New Republic, and Ahsoka, both set within the timeline of The Mandalorian.

Hayden Christensen returns as Darth Vader, joining Ewan McGregor in the OBI-WAN KENOBI Disney+ series, which begins 10 years after the dramatic events of Revenge of the Sith.

Tons of Star Wars coming
Leslye Headland brings a new Star Wars series to Disney+ with The Acolyte. “The Acolyte” is a mystery-thriller that will take viewers into a galaxy of shadowy secrets and emerging dark-side powers in the final days of the High Republic era.
The galaxy’s favorite scoundrel, Lando Calrissian, will return in Lando, a brand-new event series for Disney+ with Justin Simien in early stages of developing the project.
Lucasfilm Animation is teaming up with Lucasfilm’s visual effects team, Industrial Light & Magic, to develop a special Star Wars adventure for Disney+ A Droid Story. This epic journey will introduce us to a new hero guided by R2-D2 and C-3PO.
The next installment of Indiana Jones is in pre-production. At the helm is James Mangold director of Ford v Ferrari, and Indy himself, Harrison Ford, will be back to continue his iconic character’s journey. Adventure arrives July 2022.
Coming exclusively to Disney+ is Hocus Pocus 2, the spooky sequel to the 1993 Halloween classic!

Disney Animation’s first-ever original animated series are coming to Disney+: Baymax!, Zootopia+, and Tiana are coming in 2022, and Moana the series coming in 2023.
