Creature Commandos voice cast will play live-action versions.
One of the DCU projects James Gunn announced was the animated Creature Commandos series. It is already in production and coming to the MAX streaming platform, formerly HBO MAx. The DC Comic launched in 1980 and featured Frankenstein’s monster teaming up with a werewolf, a vampire, and a gorgon to fight Nazis in World War II. This version will feature Suicide Squad’s Weasel, voiced by Sean Gunn from Suicide Squad, and Rick Flag’s father, Rick Flag Sr., who Frank Grillo will voice. The additional voice cast features Maria Bakalova as Princess Ilana Rostovic, Indira Varma as The Bride, Zoe Chao as Nina Mazursky, Alan Tudyk as Dr. Phosphorus, David Harbour as Eric Frankenstein, Sean Gunn as G.I. Robot, with Steve Agee reprising his role as John Economos. Gunn noted that the actors cast to voice the characters on the show would also play the roles in live-action DCU.
