Unfortunately, the movie was not received well by critics and moviegoers and only made $179,179,718 globally at the box office. a Rated-R director cut was released in 2004, adding 30 minutes and making the film more favorable
Synopsis
Attorney Matt Murdock (Ben Affleck) is blind, but his other four senses function with superhuman sharpness. By day, Murdock represents the downtrodden. At night, he is Daredevil, a masked vigilante, a relentless avenger of justice. So when Wilson Fisk (Michael Clarke Duncan) hires Bullseye (Colin Farrell) to kill Daredevil, Murdock must rely on his senses and search out the conspirators against justice — which may include his girlfriend, Elektra (Jennifer Garner).
