Cloverfield came out 15 years ago today.
JJ Abrahams’ Cloverfield, directed by The Batman‘s Matt Reeves, hit theaters 15 years ago today on January 18th, 2008. The Godzilla-Esque monster movie stars Lizzy Caplan, Jessica Lucas, T.J. Miller, Michael Stahl-David, Mike Vogel, and Odette Yustman. The movie would make $172 million worldwide on a $25 million budget. A franchise was built around the movie, and two films were spun-off, 2016’s 10 Cloverfield Lane and 2018’s The Cloverfield Paradox. A direct sequel to the first film is currently in development.
