Chicken Run will deliver a cluck-tastic sequel to remember.
Netflix has dropped the teaser trailer for “Chicken Run: Dawn of the Nugget.” Directed by Sam Fell, this stop-motion animated sequel is set to capture hearts and tickle funny bones worldwide. The original “Chicken Run” earned its place in animation history as the highest-grossing stop-motion film. Since then, fans have been clucking for a sequel. The wait is over, and the beloved characters return in this eagerly anticipated installment. It begins streaming on December 15, 2023. Watch the trailer below!
In “Chicken Run: Dawn of the Nugget,” we reunite with the fearless Ginger.
She is voiced by the brilliant Thandiwe Newton and the charming Rocky, played by Zachary Levi. After their daring escape from Tweedy’s farm in the first film, Ginger has finally found her dream—a peaceful island sanctuary for her entire flock, away from the perils of the human world. The happiness of Ginger and Rocky reaches new heights when they hatch a little chick named Molly, voiced by Bella Ramsey. However, peace doesn’t last long. Back on the mainland, an ominous threat looms over all of chicken-kind. In a daring adventure that involves breaking in rather than breaking out, Ginger and her team must confront this new and terrible danger head-on, even if it means putting their hard-won freedom at risk.
The star-studded cast includes Imelda Staunton, Lynn Ferguson, David Bradley, Jane Horrocks, Romesh Ranganathan, Daniel Mays, Josie Sedgwick-Davies, Peter Serafinowicz, Nick Mohammed, and Miranda Richardson. Aardman, known for their Academy and BAFTA award-winning creations like “Creature Comforts,” “Wallace & Gromit,” and “Shaun the Sheep,” has once again teamed up with director Sam Fell, an Academy Award and BAFTA nominee for his work on “ParaNorman” and “Flushed Away.” This creative collaboration promises a film that will warm your heart and tickle your funny bone.
