Eddie Murphy to bring laughter and holiday magic to “Candy Cane Lane.”
With the holiday season just around the corner, Prime Video has a special treat for its viewers titled Candy Cane Lane. Eddie Murphy, the comedy legend, stars in his first-ever holiday film. The film is directed by Reginald Hudlin, who previously collaborated with Murphy in the 1992 hit “Boomerang.” Watch the new trailer below and watch the movie here on November 30th, 2023.
In “Candy Cane Lane,” Eddie Murphy takes center stage as Chris. He direly wants to win his neighborhood’s coveted Christmas home decoration contest. However, things turn whimsical when he unknowingly strikes a deal with Pepper. She is a mischievous elf played by Jillian Bell. Pepper casts a spell that brings the 12 Days of Christmas to life to increase his chances of victory. However, it creates chaos throughout the town. Chris, his wife Carol, portrayed by the talented Tracee Ellis Ross, and their three children must embark on a frantic race against time to break Pepper’s enchantment. As they navigate through a world filled with deviously magical characters, they’ll face challenges that could jeopardize the holiday season for their entire community.
The rest of the film’s cast includes Thaddeus J. Mixson, Ken Marino, Nick Offerman, Robin Thede, Chris Redd, Genneya Walton, Madison Thomas, Anjelah Johnson-Reyes, Lombardo Boyar, D.C. Young Fly, Danielle Pinnock, Timothy Simons, Riki Lindhome, and Stephen Tobolowsky. “Candy Cane Lane” will become a classic holiday film for the whole family. As the characters grapple with the repercussions of Pepper’s mischievous spell, audiences can expect a rollercoaster of laughter, lessons, and holiday spirit that will warm hearts.
