Brandy to reprise Cinderella role 25 years later.
Disney announced that Brandy is returning as Cinderella in a new Descendants film Rita Ora will also join the movie, which has the working title of the Pocket watch. The film is the latest installment in the music-driven megahit “Descendants” franchise from Disney Branded Television. Brandy first played Cinderella in Walt Disney Television’s iconic 1997 version. Ora and Brandy join previously announced cast members China Anne McClain, Kylie Cantrall, and Dara Reneé. Also being added to the talented cast are Malia Baker, Ruby Rose Turner, Morgan Dudley, and Joshua Colley. In addition, fan-favorite Melanie Paxson will reprise her role as Fairy Godmother from the previous “Descendants” movies.

The expansive new story from Descendants world finds polar opposites Red and Chloe crossing paths at a momentous celebration in Auradon when unexpected chaos breaks out. To prevent an impending coup, they must join forces to travel back in time via a magical pocket watch created by the Mad Hatter’s son to stop an event that would lead to grave consequences.
