One Love is an upcoming biopic starring Kingsley Ben-Adir, known for his role in Secret Invasion, as the legendary musician Bob Marley. An iconic figure, Bob Marley inspired generations through his message of love and unity. The movie shows Marley’s powerful story for the first time on the big screen. Lashana Lynch plays the role of Marley’s wife, Rita. Also starring are James Norton, Tosin Cole, Anthony Welsh, Michael Gandolfini, Umi Myers, and Nadine Marshall. The movie will release in theaters on January 12, 2024. Watch the trailer below!
Bob Marley was a musician, singer, and songwriter born in Jamaica. He became an iconic reggae music figure known for his powerful vocals, profound lyrics, and charismatic stage presence that conveyed unity, love, and social justice. With his band, The Wailers, he created timeless classics like “No Woman, No Cry,” “Redemption Song,” and “Three Little Birds.” Marley’s advocacy for peace, equality, and the rights of the oppressed made him a symbol of hope and inspiration for generations. He became an international icon and a symbol of Jamaican identity, extending his cultural impact beyond music. He tragically passed away at just 36 years old in 1981. However his music and legacy continue to resonate worldwide.
