Beverly Hills Cop 4 will be an upcoming film debuting on Netflix. Eddie Murphy will return as Axel Foley. Netflix made a licensing deal with Paramount to premiere this film on their streaming platform. The director for the fourth film will be Mark Molloy. It will be Molloy’s first motion picture, and Jerry Bruckheimer is returning as producer. The first Beverly Hills Cop came out in 1984. A sequel made its debut in 1987, and a third movie was released in 1994.

Original Synopsis (1984)

After his childhood buddy is murdered while visiting Detroit, rebellious cop Axel Foley (Eddie Murphy) follows the leads to Beverly Hills, Calif., under the auspices of a vacation. He checks in with old friend Jenny Summers (Lisa Eilbacher) and starts to believe her boss, art dealer Victor Maitland (Steven Berkoff), might somehow be involved in the murder. However, Lt. Bogomil (Ronny Cox) of the Beverly Hills Police Department does not trust Foley, and hinders his search for evidence.
