Batgirl was set to debut this year on HBO Max.
The New York post broke the news that the Batgirl movie has been canned. Warner Bros will shelve the almost completed Batgirl movie. It was set to star Leslie Grace as the titular character, Michael Keaton as Batman, and Brendan Fraser as Firefly. The $90 million production was greenlit in 2021. This movie may be the first of many to be in trouble with Discovery steering the ship. The test screenings for audiences were poorly received, which is also one of the many reasons for the abrupt cancelation.
