Bad Boys For Life – Movie Review

Bad Boys For Life is definitely mistitled for a third installment.

Ride together. Die together. After 17 years, the Bad Boys duo is back for another action-packed crime-fighting mission. We fell in love with the chemistry of Will Smith and Martin Lawrence back in 1995, and it is a shame we had to wait this long for a third installment, but they are finally back, and father time is catching up with both of them for one last ride in this Rated R action comedy.

Synopsis

The wife and son of a Mexican drug lord embark on a vengeful quest to kill all those involved in his trial and imprisonment. This includes Miami Detective Mike Lowrey. When Mike gets wounded, he teams up with partner Marcus Burnett and AMMO to bring the culprits to justice. But the old-school, wisecracking cops must soon learn to get along with their new elite counterparts if they are to take down the vicious cartel that threatens their lives.

The Bad Boys franchise is a sexier version of Lethal Weapon with more flair and explosions. This installment delivers another fun blockbuster. You can’t deny how great and natural the chemistry between Smith and Lawrence is, and their brotherly bantering is a joy to watch. The movie is filled with hilarious humor from beginning to end that will make your insides hurt. This third installment has many surprising moments and twists to keep you on the edge of your seat. The action sequences were very well done and exciting. We get tons of car chases, guns, and explosions. It was refreshing to see an action movie with minimal CGI.

Verdict

I give Bad Boys For Life 4 out of 5 stars. Despite not having the strongest plot, seeing Will Smith and Martin Lawrence share the big screen again is worth the admission price. Read more Reviews on Nerdtropolis and Subscribe to our YouTube.
