Babylon 5: The Complete Series Box Set Announced

Babylon 5: The Complete Series celebrates its 30th anniversary.

Warner Bros. Discovery Home Entertainment will delight science fiction enthusiasts and fans of the groundbreaking TV series Babylon 5 with the release of The Complete Series on Blu-ray. This highly anticipated release marks the first time the entire series will be available in high definition, fully remastered. Coinciding with its 30th Anniversary, the Blu-ray set will be available on December 5th.

Babylon 5, an American space opera television series created by J. Michael Straczynski, originally aired from 1994 to 1998. The franchise debuted in 1993 with a pilot film, “The Gathering,” and ran for five seasons, totaling 110 episodes. The show is set in the future, between 2257 and 2262, and takes place on a space station. Against a universe inhabited by five hostile federations, Babylon 5 is a sanctuary for heroes, thieves, and various rare and exotic beings. In this time of uneasy peace and the constant threat of war, the space station becomes the last and best hope for establishing peace among the hundred worlds, both alien and human.

The show featured an outstanding cast.

It included Bruce Boxleitner, Michael O’Hare, Claudia Christian, Jerry Doyle, Mira Furlan, Andreas Katsulas, Peter Jurasik, Richard Biggs, Andrea Thompson, Stephen Furst, Bill Mumy, Tracy Scoggins, Jason Carter, Robert Rusler, Jeff Conaway, Patricia Tallman, and Mary Kay Adams. The Blu-ray ($99) set will have several special features, including the pilot movie. This bonus content allows fans to delve deeper into the show’s origins and experience its evolution from the very beginning.

Animated movie announced.

Fans of the franchise can now look forward to a brand-new animated film. The Road Home will deliver a new store about the iconic space station and its inhabitants.
