James Cameron’s follow-up to his 2009 3D-infused film, Avatar, is finally here. The Way of Water opened up over the weekend at the top number-one spot and is nearing half a billion dollars worldwide. It currently sits at $434,500,000. Of that amount, it made $134,000,000 domestically. The 3-hour 12-minute movie has impressed moviegoers with its beautiful 3D experience. The first film is still the world’s highest-grossing film, with a lifetime gross of $2,922,917,914. No exact budget has been shared yet for the sequel, but the production cost is close to $400 Million. Read our movie review!

Synopsis

Jake Sully lives with his newfound family formed on the extrasolar moon, Pandora. But, once a familiar threat returns to finish what was previously started, Jake must work with Neytiri and the army of the Na’vi race to protect their home.
