Avatar: The Last Airbender is making a highly anticipated return in the form of a live-action series. The beloved animated series that captured the hearts of millions is coming to Netflix. Fans were given a glimpse into this new reimagining. During Tudum: A Global Fan Event in Brazil, the show’s stars came to the state to share the first look at their characters. Ffans got their first glimpse of Aang, Katara, Sokka, and Zuko.

The story is set in a world where four nations coexist: the Water Tribe, Earth Kingdom, Fire Nation, and Air Nomads. However, harmony is disrupted when the Fire Nation launches an attack. This prompts the disappearance of the only hope for peace, the Avatar. A hundred years later, Katara and Sokka discover the new Avatar, Aang. He is an Airbender who must master all four elements to save the world from the tyrannical Fire Lord Ozai.

Taking on the role of the fearless and carefree Aang is Gordon Cormier. Joining him is Kiawentiio as Katara, a skilled water bender who becomes Aang’s loyal companion on their journey. Ian Ousley portrays Sokka, Katara’s quick-witted and protective brother. Dallas Liu brings Zuko, a conflicted prince of the Fire Nation, with his redemptive arc to life.
